When I moved into my brand new house, I had several decisions to make. Paint colors, furniture choices, and decorating took a back seat though to the most important decision – cable or satellite TV.

With satellite TV, you have the option of going with the NFL Sunday Ticket package on Direct TV, or the great movie packages that are offered by Dish Network. Cable television does have some good things too, like the video on demand service offered in my area by Time Warner. They also have better triple play bundle options, which make it simple and easy to pay my bill or call for customer service. In the end, I had to go with Direct TV for the football package, as I was displaced from my hometown team. Now even though I live in Florida I can watch Tim Tebow and the Broncos play each and every Sunday from the comfort of my living room couch.

Digital television has brought transformation on how people see and enjoy entertainment. Acquiring a digital video recorder from a dish network Satellite TV receiver and a dish direct will comfortably permit one to be updated with the entire programs that are one’s favorite. It does not matter how tight one’s agenda is or the program time when those shows are televised.

This is made a reality due to the technology of recording the favorite show on directv channels in advance using the automating recording mode. This mode records the shows at a certain time set when they are being shown. The recorded massive videos are stored in a built-in hard drive instantly. The recorder can record and store more than one program at once.

One can also watch an already recorded show while recoding another one simultaneously. A maximum of two shows can be recorded while watching another show. This will go a long way in settling television view conflicts with households.

This might come as a surprise to many who have been using the iPlayer from abroad in the past via subscription. I never knew that it was possible for someone to get access to iPlayer from abroad without having to invest in expensive gadgets. I just got to know that it is practically possible to watch iplayer abroad for free, without parting with a cent for the service! The only investment that is required for any person to get access to iPlayer abroad is just a simple computer.

I should have made inquires earlier and surely by this time I would have been enjoying the iPlayer. Keeping to myself has cost me a lot, I have missed most of the programs that I used to watch on a daily basis. At this time I am only trying to play catch up, hoping that I will be able to catch up sooner rather than later.
